It is our great pleasure to welcome Bernice Terasa to JWA as a trumpet teacher.
Bernice is an wonderful trumpeter, educator and composer. Experienced in teaching jazz and classical music, she has worked with primary and high school students, adults and jazz combos. She is invested in creating an individualised approach for each student, acknowledging that learning is different for each person.
Currently completing her Bachelor of Jazz Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium, she has been heavily involved in the Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Orchestras there. To date she has collaborated with artists such as Will Vinson, G Flip and Yan Collazo, and has played at a variety of venues including Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Qudos Bank Arena, and Mary’s Underground.
She leads her jazz quintet the Return of the Bern and has played in a variety of settings on the Sydney scene, including pop, commercial music and salsa as well as jazz.
Bernice Tesara is now available for jazz trumpet lessons and classical trumpet lessons at the JWA studio in St Leonards / Crows Nest. Highly recommended!
