Update: Ben Samuels no longer teaches at JWA.
We are excited to announce that Ben Samuels will be teaching clarinet and saxophone at JWA in St Leonards.
A marvelous teacher, Ben can help kids and adults alike to become great at classical and/or jazz. He has a B.Mus in classical clarinet from Sydney Conservatorium and in jazz saxophone from Monash University. He is a versatile teacher and player indeed.
‘Back in the day’, as a teenager, Ben studied clarinet with teacher Richard Savery at JWA, and was a member of our advanced jazz combo program. So, really it is ‘welcome back’ to Ben.
Ben is now taking students on Mondays. He’ll be teaching classical clarinet, jazz clarinet, classical sax, and jazz saxophone. Ben’s students can sit AMEB exams if they want to. They will also get the opportunity to play in ensembles at JWA.
