Lessons and rehearsals at the Jazz Workshop are just about to start for 2014. Private lessons, student combos, and the SYJO 2 & 3 big bands all resume from Monday 3 February.
Adult combos start the following Monday and SYJO1 big band goes back 20 February.
There is space in most of the combos for one or two extra musicians. Some of the groups are by audition, others are by age or experience. Email us if you’d like your child to be part of this program and we’ll help find the right group. Regular participation in the combos almost always proves to be extremely beneficial to the student – just provided they are practicing at home.
The combos are open to anybody: you don’t have to be taking private lessons at the Jazz Workshop to join.
There are currently also some vacancies for lessons on all instruments, although some teachers are already fully booked out.
