Trombone Lessons
Trombone lessons are available at Jazz Workshop Australia with Francis Raciborski and Rhys Moore. Students of all levels and ages are welcome. Rhys teaches jazz and classical, while Francis teaches classical exclusively and is an AMEB expert. You can expect high-quality instruction and, provided you or your child put in the appropriate effort, excellent results.
The lessons are at the JWA studio in St Leonards. The venue is very close to both St Leonards station and Crows Nest Metro, as well as buses and easy parking, so it is easy to get to from anywhere on the north shore or the Sydney CBD. Lessons are in the afternoons and evenings at times convenient for school students and adult students after work.
Francis Raciborski – trombone lessons & euphonium lessons.
Francis Raciborski (B.Mus) is a busy and very experienced teacher who is always in high demand. He was bass trombonist in the Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra and a freelance professional performer, specializing in classical and big band trombone. He has a degree in trombone performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of music. As well as big band, he has a background playing in orchestras with early training in the Sydney Youth Orchestra and later work in the Penrith Symphony Orchestra and Ku Ring Gai-Philharmonic-Orchestra.
Francis is a skilful and organised teacher, dedicated to his students and is able help young players achieve remarkable results. Francis can prepare students for AMEB and other exams.
Francis teaches trombone and euphonium on Tuesdays.
Rhys Moore – trombone lessons
Rhys Moore is a energetic and detailed teacher who is also acclaimed as a rising young star on the Australian jazz scene. He is a winner of the James Morrison Scholarship, Australia’s foremost award for young jazz players. He is a busy freelance trombonist, leads his own groups, and co-leads the Carger-Moore Big Band.
Rhys teaches jazz and classical music and is able to prepare students for exams if that’s what they really want to do and can assist with school and band music.
