It is nearly time for the annual Merimbula Jazz Festival, and JWA will be there again. This year, for the first time, we’ll have two of our combos playing: A group of our advanced young players, “The Jazz Workshoppers” and Gavin Ahearn’s Monday night combo, playing as “Helium 8”. We are also delighted that the JWA Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra, the community youth big and we sponsor, will be returning to the festival again this year after missing a year or two.
