One of the elective options at Summer Jazz Camp 2017 is Latin Jazz. The description didn’t make it into the first email we sent out, so here are the details:
A Latin Jazz Group. Rhythm Section and Horn players are welcome. Play some classic latin jazz songs by great leaders like Tito Puente and Poncho Sanchez. We’ll explore some Boogaloos, Mambos, and Sambas and learn more about various different styles. Percussionists will get some basic instruction and an opportunity to try congas, bongos, timbales and other percussion instruments. Led by Eric Dunan. Open to all.
