The Sydney Youth Jazz Orchestra is looking for new trumpet players to audition for either SYJO (under 30) or SYJO2 (under 19).
Full scholarships are available, sponsored by us here at Jazz Workshop Australia.
Members need to be able to commit to weekly rehearsals in St Leonards during school terms. SYJO rehearses on Thursday evenings 6:50 – 9:00 pm and SYJO2 is on Wednesday evenings 6:40 – 8:15 pm.
The bands will be performing at the Merimbula Jazz Festival in early June, and a SYJO1/2 tour band will be touring the USA in January 2017. To get involved in one of these two great bands, contact coordinator Cathie Wiltshire cathie@syjo.org.
